Radiolab presents More Perfect, 27: The Most Perfect Album
Radiolab commissioned musicians to to create songs inspired by each of the 27 US Constitutional Amendments for their podcast More Perfect.
I chose the 4th Amendment due to the importance it has for protecting citizen's rights of privacy from government interference. This is an important right to uphold and defend. I paralleled lyrically in this song the topic of sexual consent as a survivor. Singing both to aspects of government surveillance as well as to sexual consent, the chorus refrain, "When you take what you took from me" speaks to the core of the piece.
